Recipe: Homemade Almond Milk
What you'll need:
Nut milk bag or cloth
1 cup raw almonds
5 cups water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Step 1: Soak almonds in 1 cup of water overnight in a bowl, leave in refrigerator.
Step 2: Peel off almond shells and toss.
Step 3: Place almonds without shells, 4 cups of water, salt, and vanilla extract in blender.
Step 4: Blend on high for 60 seconds, you should see the mixture turning white.
Step 5: Take the nutmilk bag or cloth, place over bowl and pour contents from blender over. The purpose of the cloth is to separate the pulp from the milk so it can be more creamy.
Step 6: Begin squeezing bag in a ball and get out all excess milk.
Step 7: Ready to drink! You can pour into a container and store for up to 5 days.
